In this tutorial, I will demonstrate - how to use Power BI filters for better visualizing the data.
Step 1: Follow Power BI Tutorial 1 to load the Excel data and prepare the basic Power BI dashboard.
Download sample data Excel file.
Step 2: Drag and Drop Grades and Subjects fields to the dashboard.
Step 3: Select Subjects box and Select slicer option in the Visualization.
Step 4: Select Grade box and Select slicer option in the Visualization.
Step 5: Now your output will be displayed like below.
Q1: Get Total Marks of each Grade 1 Students
Sol: Check Grade 1 tick box
Q2: Get Science Marks of Grade 1 Students
Sol: Check Grade 1 and Check 'Science' tick boxes
As you can see, you can derive any combination using these options.
